The scope of the abuse cannot be underestimated. The Daily
Mail put the number of Rotherham Victims at 1,400. Given that the population of Rotherham is
c250,000 (page 3 of Jay
report), this means that an estimated 6% of Rotherham girls were raped
over a fifteen year period. 6% is
close to one in twenty. Figure 2: Convicted At a national level, GB News investigations have
identified at least 50 cities and towns in England where the problem appears
to have been going on for 20 30 years and has ruined the lives of at least
100,000 girls. Sarah Champion, the Labour MP for
Rotherham, has said she thinks it might be 1,000,000 girls. It is asserted that a reasonable and
conservative estimate of the number of victims is 250,000. Figure 3: Convicted
Wikipedia has appalling accounts of the abuse. Cost
You would think that it should be easy for any Victim to
sue her rapist. It s not. At the minimum, it takes about 65,000 to
take this sort of case through the civil courts. The process involves a number of
stages: 1.
Anonymity order ~ Preserves the
anonymity of the Victim 2.
Freezing order ~ Stops the rapist
hiding his assets 3.
Medical report ~ Assesses the impact of
the rapes and abuse on the Victim s life including loss of earning capacity 4.
Accountant's report ~ Assesses the
compensation for loss of earnings and suffering 5.
Court hearing for an application for
damages 6.
Enforcement action ~ Selling the
rapist s house or other assets By the time that the professionals and court fees have
been paid, the total comes to 65,000.
A fully costed example of the court
process is here. Opus Sanctus exists to raise money for Victims, help them
through the process and then recoup Opus Sanctus expenses from the final pay
out so that another victim can be helped. Pre-requisites for Opus Sanctus to support a case
Figure 4: Convicted In order to consider a case, we
need 1.
a Victim who is willing to come forward; and 2.
a rapist who a.
has been convicted; and b.
has collectable assets of at least 150,000. Resources and more data

Lobby ~ Sort Code 20-62-68 ~ Account 20902136. English Lobby s aim is to recoup the litigation expenses
( 65,000) from successful claims and then recycle the money back into funding
a new case. English Lobby needs to start with 65,000 to get the first
case moving but can easily have more than one case running at any time. Transparency
Opus Sanctus and English Lobby promise full transparency
on every case and will provide a full reconciliation upon request by donors. Email
